Open World alum Nursultan Kubanov honored
A Kyrgyz delegate from CIP's most recent Open World program was awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Minister of Labor and Social Development in Kyrgyzstan for his support of vulnerable families during a two-month lockdown due to the effects of COVID-19. From Open World's most recent newsletter: Nursultan, along with other activitists, collected funds to provide 3,500 families with food supplies. In cooperation with a local network of supermarkets, they organized the initiative called "Basket of Kindness" to help these vulnerable groups. His immediate goal is to modify a commercial building in Bishkek into COVID-19 hospital. Nursultan was in Cleveland with us from February 14 - 22 for our Kyrgyz Information Technology Education to Employment program. Bravo, Nursultan! We are proud to know you!
