Professor Dennis Young to Join Advisory Board
CIP is excited to announce the addition of Professor Dennis Young to our Advisory Board. Dr. Young is currently Visiting Faculty in the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences (MSASS) at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). He brings decades of experience in Nonprofit Management research.
Dr. Young is soon to retire as the editor-in-chief of
Nonprofit Policy Forum
, an international journal that publishes original research and analysis on public policy issues and the public policy process critical to the work of nonprofit organizations. Reflecting on his years in this role, Dr. Young says, "That position kept me in touch with a network of scholars worldwide through an international editorial board and a broad spectrum of authors."
In addition to these two occupations, Dr. Young also works with the
National Center of Nonprofit Enterprise
, an organization he helped found in the 1990s. The organization, along with Dr. Young, who previously resided in Georgia during his tenure at Georgia State University, has recently relocated to Cleveland. "This has been pretty interesting lately because we're about to launch an instructional program in nonprofit resilience management," says Dr. Young.
Dr. Young previously served on our Board of Directors from the late 1990s to the early 2000s. As a professor at CWRU at the time, Dr. Young facilitated a crucial connection between our organization and the university for local programming in Cleveland.
