Mindy Kuth Joins CIP Advisory Board

We are delighted to welcome Mindy Kuth to our Advisory Board!  

Mindy is a Cleveland, Ohio-based sustainability consultant and founder of Kuth Consulting. She works with businesses and community organizations on sustainability strategy and program design, data analysis and reporting.  Her international experience began with a year of study in Mumbai and continued through Peace Corps service and later work in Mexico with small businesses and social enterprises. She holds an MBA in Sustainability from Duquesne University and a BA in International Studies from Baldwin Wallace University.

Mindy brings a wealth of personal experience with international exchange to her role on the advisory board.  "Much of my career has been about solving problems and spotting opportunities with people who see the world from different angles," Mindy shares. "Those experiences showed me how person-to-person diplomacy builds trust and gets work done. In a fast-changing world, learning to work across cultures is not an extra, it is central to good leadership and strong communities." 

Mindy's vision for CIP is inspired by her year of study in Mumbai, her Peace Corps service and project work in Mexico, and the international friendships she has made that have lasted decades. "My vision is for exchange to be accessible and reciprocal, with shared benefits for all participants.  So participants gain skills, mentoring and networks, and host organizations gain fresh perspectives, useful project work, and global connections. Relationships continue as alumni stay in touch with hosts and peers, share what they have learned at home and with colleagues, and are involved in creating future collaborations."

How did you first learn about CIP?

I first learned about CIP when I was invited to attend the 2022 annual meeting. Hearing about how CIP facilitates global experiences with a mix of hands-on learning, professional development, and cultural exchange inspired and stayed with me.

What inspired you to join our advisory board?

I am inspired by how CIP brings together professional growth, cultural exchange, and personal connection. I’ve seen in my own life how those elements open doors, shift perspectives, and build lasting relationships across international borders. The late Dr. Michael Felver’s long involvement with CIP is also a reminder of the difference one person’s long-term commitment can make. For me, serving on the Advisory Board is a chance to support an organization that makes these kinds of experiences possible for others.

What goals do you have for CIP?

Build on what is already working: strengthen partnerships and visibility so more organizations understand the pathways to hosting and the benefits of participating in CIP programs. Make CIP’s impact clear by pairing stories and experiences from alumni and host organizations with straightforward indicators to track and share. As CIP approaches its 70th anniversary in 2026, I am excited to meet partners from across the globe and plan activities that reconnect alumni, spotlight host communities, bring in new partners and supporters, and share a concise picture of CIP’s impact over 70 years and its role ahead.

How does your career or personal activities inspire your interest in international exchange and CIP?
